With a smart shopping you may get a powerful PC for less money than a Mac, and you will be using the same design software.
As far as graphic design is concerned, there is no major difference in the software for the Mac or PC. Generally, there is more software for the PC, especially if you are focused on a web, animation, gaming or 3-D renderings. Pirate and cracked software is predominantly target PC users.
